Since its formation, Rockjumper Birding Tours has been supporting the conservation of the birds that bring us many delightful hours of sheer bird watching pleasure.
Learn MoreOur group leaders/guides worked hard all the time to ensure that the tour went smoothly and timely because instructions were clearly conveyed. There were incredible sightings and rare finds. The accomodation and meals were good but I have to commend our stay onboard the Dorinha, an excellent experience. I felt well looked after and enjoyed my first tour with Rockjumper immensely, thanks especially to Bradley Davis, Dusàn and driver Marinaldo.
Bobby Wilcox was an amazing leader - excellent birding and bird-finding skills, responsive, organized, and also a really nice guy. Our local guides Manny and Efrain were also fantastic. Thanks to their local knowledge, and the teamwork amongst all of the guides, every person on the tour saw all of the endemic targets, far exceeding my expectations. This was our first Rockjumper tour, and I would gladly travel with Bobby and with Rockjumper again. Thanks for a great trip!
The tour was well organized, varied and the itinerary was superb. We enjoyed birding, the lemurs and the night walks. Ryan is an excellent guide with patience and humor. All 5 domestic flights were on time. We were happy with the different accommodations. Last but not least we enjoyed to make the tour in a small group. We have a not confirmed tour to Bhutan in April 2026 and would be happy to go on this tour also in a small group.
Ethiopia is a difficult destination for many reasons, but David is an exceptional guide and made the trip a great success.
I really enjoyed the tour and I thought that Adam was an exceptional leader. I would also like to say that the local guide was brilliant and certainly added to the whole experience. All in all a brilliant trip with a great group and some amazing birds. Thank you.
I thought the tour was a good mix of birds and wine. My wife is the birder, and I am the wine lover. So, there was lots of good things for both of us. I thought the two guides, Stu and our local guide from Chile, worked very well together. Both were very knowledgeable about the local birds and helped us to spot and identify the birds. My wife added ~ 20 lifers to her 4200 species life list which was more than she thought she would get. I enjoyed the winery tours very much. I have an extensive collection in my cellar, so I was particularly interested in seeing how the grapes were processed, from picking, to crushing and pressing, to aging and bottling. And the tastings were done very professionally, with a good selection of both white and red wines. Overall, I think it was a winning combination that got birders interested in wines, and wine lovers interested in birds. Whoever curated this tour is a genius. I recommend it highly!
