Since its formation, Rockjumper Birding Tours has been supporting the conservation of the birds that bring us many delightful hours of sheer bird watching pleasure.
Learn MoreGlen, as always, was an outstanding guide, taking great care to get every participant to see, or at least hear, every bird. He has a very pleasant, broad-minded sense of humor and managed our group's dynamics well. Our drivers were excellent in the chaos of Indian road traffic.
This was a great tour and exceeded all my very high expectations. Having both Glen and Dušan as leaders was like having two olympians on your high school basketball team. As usual, the vehicles were too small for me, but Glen kindly allowed me to ride in the seat with the most legroom when possible. I have subsequently found out that I am definitely an outlier as far as client size is concerned. The tour was well planned, the schedule and guides flexible enough to work around complications, and the logistics aside from a glitch picking us up at the airport well executed.
Paul was excellent. Great at spotting birds and animals, and worked really hard to get us onto difficult to locate sightings. Would suggest that he remind everyone of birding courtesy (get your sighting, make sure your neighbor could get a good sighting, then take photos, and to be careful not to step in front of others, blocking their view). Paul got the ebird lists out to us in about three days (36 checklists) which took a lot of work on his part. Roger was an excellent driver, spotter, birder and historian. He gave us a lot of information about Tanzania, and especially the great migration, which we got to see. There were a ton of highlights on this trip, but I think seeing an Aardvark has to be near the top of the list.
I really enjoyed the tour and I thought that Adam was an exceptional leader. I would also like to say that the local guide was brilliant and certainly added to the whole experience. All in all a brilliant trip with a great group and some amazing birds. Thank you.
Highly satisfied with the tour. We saw a lot of the countryside and found far more birds than I expected. David certainly knows his birds and his country very well. Food and accommodations were excellent. I would recommend the tour.
The tour was excellent, very well organised and very productive! Accomodations were of excellent standard and transportation seamless. David was organised, helpful and clear both in the field and during down time. The pace was relaxed and I enjoyed the itinerary immensely. I think we were very blessed to have sightings of the rarer animals. The group was friendly and got on well even though there were no specific instructions to rotate on the bus or trails. Tour is Highly recommended!
